Waterfowl art is a speciality of Beebe's. She has worked in the media of oil, watercolor, intaglio etching and acrylics. A native of Mississippi she has resided in California for 55 years.

The "featherstroke" technique of feather painting was pioneered by Beebe and for years she and her husband Jim, traveled throughout the United States, Canada and England teaching this technique.  Instructional books "Wildfowl Painting", "Painting Wild Geese", "Featherstrokes for Shorebirds" and packets for the different waterfowl and upland game birds are authored by her.

Professional organizations of which she is a member include National Wildlife Federation, Ducks Unlimited, and Pacific Wildfowl Arts.
